Buying a Home

A buyer realizes in the first 8 seconds of walking thru the front door if they want the house...

If you are considering buying a house, or land to build a house, I would love to guide you through this important life event.

STEP 1

 

We would start at the office, where you let me know all of your hopes and dreams for your mountain retreat. If you are not already prequalified for a loan or have proof of funds available I would refer you to the best person I know in that field. I work with different lenders for homes, manufactured homes, raw land, and even raw land construction loans.

STEP 2

 

Once we set those guidelines the fun begins. House hunting is a fun experience! Who doesn't like looking at real estate?

STEP 3

 

As a full time local realtor I am not only an expert at evaluating the value of a property, I can help guide you through many aspects of real estate negotiation that outside agents are not well versed at; including:

 

  • septic

  •  propane

  •  the most reliable local contractors for repair bids

  •  subterranean termite repair

  • wood burning stoves

  •  pellet stoves

  • the rate at which different wood logs burn

  •  the amount of wood or pellets you may use in a day

  •  pellet co-ops

  •  rental laws

  •  water softeners

  •  tankless heaters

  • reliable solar

  • reliable cellular

  • reliable internet,  etc., etc.

 

Frankly speaking, if you are buying on the mountain, you NEED a realtor that knows the lifestyle at this altitude.
